At Liberty, we’re proud of the vibrant community and rich history of agriculture and development that surrounds us. That’s why our schools offer focuses on agriscience, arts, communication, dual language immersion, leadership, International Baccalaureate programs and STEAM.

The more than 4,500 students in Liberty Elementary School District (LESD) get to choose their own paths. Our seven schools serve students in kindergarten through grade 8 and are tailored to serve students based on their interests.

Liberty is a careful steward of taxpayer money, winning multiple awards for fiscal responsibility, including the Government Finance Officers Association Award for Excellence in Financial Reporting. The most recent Arizona Auditor General report also gives LESD high marks for keeping administration costs low, and therefore putting more funding into our classrooms.

Liberty Elementary School District #25 seeks an Interim Superintendent who:

…has executive/administrative experience with an educational institution or business.

…is an effective communicator, creating strong school and community relations.

..is a trusted leader who values ethics and integrity by practicing moral  authority.

…knows stakeholders interests through continued listening and learning.

…makes strategic, high-quality decisions with big-picture lens, while managing district resources.

…builds strong diverse teams and promotes teamwork for success of all.

…remains confident in making firm decisions that may not be popular, but challenges individuals.

…understands and values economic, ethnic and racial diversity.

…practices servant leadership and is collaborative, transparent and knowledgeable

…is willing to delegate; a non-micromanager; shares and recognizes success.

…has experience/knowledge with bond issues and facility planning.

…understands and values a positive working relationship between the governing board and the  

   superintendent.

The salary will be in the range of $180,000 plus an excellent benefit package.  The final salary for the successful candidate will be negotiated and determined based upon proven experience, qualifications, and meeting Board criteria.
